Star Wars Empire Volume 5: Allies and Adversaries is a trade paperback that collects issues #28-31 and #34-35 of the Empire comic book series. The story takes place during the early days of the Galactic Empire and follows a group of Imperials on various missions. The first story arc, The Price of Power, sees Lieutenant Janek Sunber, a former Rebel, trying to win the trust of his fellow Imperials by taking down a group of pirates. In The Righteous and the Wicked, a group of Imperial officers clash with a governor who is misusing his power. Finally, in The Taking of Trench 1-2-3, a group of stormtroopers must defend a remote outpost against a Rebel attack.
