The Last of the Jedi: Master of Deception is the ninth book in the young adult series The Last of the Jedi, written by Jude Watson. Set in the early days of the Empire, the book follows Ferus Olin, who is on the run from the Empire after the events of the previous book. He decides to join a traveling circus to lay low and to continue his mission of finding and protecting Jedi survivors. While undercover in the circus, Ferus learns of a plan to assassinate a Senator who is opposed to the Empire's agenda. He must use all his skills to uncover the plot and prevent the assassination, all while avoiding the watchful eye of the Empire.
