The story takes place in the Star Wars universe, set 137 years after the Battle of Yavin. In this volume, the Jedi and the Sith have been eradicated, and the galaxy is ruled by an oppressive Empire. However, the last surviving Skywalker, Cade, has turned his back on the Jedi way and become a bounty hunter, seeking solace in drugs and alcohol. But when a new threat emerges in the form of the ancient Rakata, Cade must confront his destiny and embrace his heritage to save the galaxy.
