The New Jedi Order: Balance Point is a novel written by Kathy Tyers, published in 2000. In this book, the war between the New Republic and the Yuuzhan Vong continues, and the Jedi are doing everything they can to defend against the invaders. Jacen Solo, who has been captured by the enemy, is tortured and brainwashed into believing that the Yuuzhan Vong's way of life is superior to the New Republic's. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker and his wife, Mara Jade Skywalker, are struggling to find a balance in their relationship as they both work to defeat the Yuuzhan Vong threat. As the battle intensifies, the Jedi must come together to find a way to win the war and save the galaxy from destruction.
