Steve Perry is an American science fiction author who has written several Star Wars novels. Perry is best known for his work on the Shadows of the Empire multimedia project, which included a novel, comic book series, video game, and soundtrack. The novel, titled Shadows of the Empire, is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and follows the adventures of Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker as they attempt to rescue Han from the clutches of the notorious crime lord, Prince Xizor.
