Splinter Of The Mind's Eye
Splinter of the Mind's Eye is a Star Wars novel written by Alan Dean Foster. It is set between the events of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and was originally intended to be a low-budget sequel to the first film in case it wasn't successful. The story follows Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia as they crash land on the planet Mimban and must retrieve a powerful crystal from an abandoned temple to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Empire. Along the way, they encounter new allies and enemies and must fight for their survival in a world filled with danger and intrigue.
