John Wagner - star wars writer

John Wagner is a British comic book writer, best known for his work in the 2000 AD comic book series. He has also written for several Star Wars comic book series, including Star Wars: Empire and Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron. He has also written for other comic book series, such as Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog.

Wagner began his writing career in the 1970s, working for DC Thomson on various British comic book series. In the 1980s, he began working for 2000 AD, where he created the iconic character Judge Dredd. He later began working for Dark Horse Comics, where he began his work in the Star Wars universe. His work on Star Wars: Empire, a series set between the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, is considered to be one of his most significant contributions to the Star Wars franchise.
